Hello Arsenal fans
Leicester expect Arsenal to step in and make a bid for Youri Tielemans this month.
But it has been reported that the Gunners are yet to turn their interest in Tielemans into an official offer.
SunSport exclusively revealed last month that the Gunners are weighing a £30million bid for the midfielder.
According to The Guardian, the Foxes expect the North Londoners to submit a bid for the Belgium international.
But they claim there have been no offers for Tielemans from any club yet, with Manchester United also keeping tabs on him.
Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers has warned teams looking to plunder his squad that they will not be “exploited” to sell their best players.
Meanwhile, the elimination of Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is gathering pace as he seeks to offload 11 players who were part of the pre-season tour of America, SunSport’s Mark Irwin reports.
Bernd Leno will be the next to leave the Emirates after agreeing an £8m transfer to newly promoted Fulham.
Nuno Tavares and Arthur Okonwko have already been loaned to Marseille and Crewe respectively.
And Folarin Balogun is set to spend a season on loan in France with Reims.
But the Gunners still haven’t found buyers for Hector Bellerin, Pablo Mari, Lucas Torreira, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Reiss Nelson.
Record signing Nicolas Pepe will also be staggered if Arteta signs another winger.
Alex Runarsson is also up for grabs despite the potential offer of a Europa League replacement to Aaron Ramsdale and Matt Turner.
But Arteta has confirmed he wants more signings to help him strike the ‘perfect balance’.
The Spanish tactician told Sky: “We still hope to do something else if the market allows us.
“You have also seen movement these few days. We want to achieve the perfect balance and plan that we wanted from the start.
“Whether we get there or not is another story.”
Finally, Arsenal are considering a shock move for Chelsea’s Timo Werner this summer.
The Blues are ready to part ways with Werner before the transfer window closes.
The Gunners are interested in poaching the struggling striker from their London rivals, according to Defensa Central.
The Germany international endured a disappointing two years with the Blues – scoring just 10 goals in 56 Premier League appearances
