Building materials worth £2,000 taken in Copthorne burglary

Police have now released images and details of a vehicle they are trying to find as part of an ongoing burglary investigation.

Sussex Police say officers received a report that two men were disturbed after they were broken into by the owner of a property in Shipley Bridge Lane around 6am on Friday May 6.

They then drove off in a white Inveco flatbed van. The van had registration GN07KNJ and a sign on the back spelled ‘PHILAMAR’ or ‘PHILMAR’ and underneath ‘PLANT AND MACHINERY’.

Vehicle checks currently show no registered owners.

One of the suspects is white, thin with facial hair. He wore a green hoodie, a dark baseball cap, jogging bottoms, black socks and white sneakers with blue details.

The other suspect is white, large and clean-shaven. He wore a blue hoodie, black jogging bottoms and white sneakers.

Anyone with information that could help the investigation is asked to report it online or call 101, quoting serial number 190 of 06/05.
