TENDER Sealed tenders are invited for the installation of a new water pipe system for all apartment buildings in Hedgefield total of 110 units, 19 residential buildings and 1 office, for the public housing project VA21-1 from the Wytheville Redevelopment and Housing Authority. Sealed bids will be received at the office of the Wytheville Redevelopment and Housing Authority, PO Box 62, 170 Hedgefield Lane, Wytheville, Virginia 24382, (276) 228-6515, until 10:00 a.m. June 9, 2022, when and where they will be opened publicly and read aloud. All work must be completed as required for a complete water pipe system. Sealed bids will be received by Randy Martin at 170 Hedgefield Lane, Wytheville, Virginia 24382. The deadline for submission of bids is 10:00 a.m. sharp as determined by the Bidding Officer on Thursday, June 9, 2022. Bids must be clearly marked on the exterior of the “Hedgefield Waterline Project Bid” envelope A bid bond and a contract guarantee will be required from all bidders, regardless of the amount. Davis Bacon wage rates apply. Specifications dated March 2022 for the above project will be available at the office of Wytheville Redevelopment and Housing Authority, 170 Hedgefield Lane, Wytheville, Virginia 24382. The Authority’s office is the only point where contract information will be released. . There is a fee (non-refundable of $20.00) for each set (USB) of tender documents. Interested bidders are required to inspect the site prior to bidding and are solely responsible for the measurements/accuracies of each bid and compliance with all state/local laws. The WRHA is in no way responsible for the quantity of materials required to complete this work. An appointment is required prior to the bidder’s inspection. Bidders’ attention is drawn to the requirements of Title 54. 1-1103 of the Virginia Code, regarding registrants and to Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended (12 USC 1701u ) (Section 3). The contract will be awarded on a “lump sum basis” depending on the funding. Wytheville Redevelopment and Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and reserves the right to rebid if necessary.
