Covering an area of nearly 337,000 square feet, this industrial building is perfectly adapted to the commercial vitality of the sector while fully in line with the sustainable development values of the City of Laval, where it will be located. A sustainable building combining energy efficiency, preservation of the environment and comfort
By incorporating the strictest environmental and energy efficiency practices and techniques, which go beyond current building standards, the project will revolve around a building with low environmental impact, saving not only energy and water efficient, but also reducing greenhouse gases. A life cycle analysis of the building is in progress in order to reduce the carbon footprint related to its construction and to ensure that the best choices are made. To make the building more energy efficient, photovoltaic panels will be installed on the roof. Building J will also offer its future occupants a quality interior environment thanks to the use of materials with low VOC emissions and the filtration of the air coming from outside.
This double certification will enable savings in energy and water consumption of nearly 50% and a reduction in GHG emissions.
“We are proud to carry out such an important project in terms of energy efficiency and optimization of water management, which is perfectly in line with our mission and our values. Montoni Group’s objective is to build eco-responsible developments such as building J, which offers a healthier indoor environment for all its occupants. We are convinced that this first building will serve as an example and inspiration for sustainable development in the construction industry.
