Contest organizers talk about the launch of the contest

Today, the Union of Science and Technology Associations of the city, together with the Department of Science and Technology, the Vietnam Labor Confederation and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, launched the 27th Ho Chi Minh City Technical Innovation Competition and the third Ho Chi Minh City. Innovation Award in 2023.

As a result, the competition organizing committee received applications for solutions in the fields of electricity, electronics, information technology, telecommunications, mechanics and automation, traffic, biotechnology, agriculture, food technology, materials technology, construction, irrigation, environmental technology and rationality. the use of resources, energy saving and the use of new energies, medicine, vocational training and higher education.

According to the organizing committee, all Vietnamese at home and abroad and foreigners working and living in Vietnam can participate in the contest, regardless of their age, ethnicity or profession. Persons whose research topics or technological solutions have been created and applied to contribute to the construction and development of Ho Chi Minh City in recent years or are effectively applied, are eligible to participate in the competition as a candidate.

The deadline for submitting application forms is December 31, 2022. The first prize winner will win VND 40 million while the second and third prize winner will win VND 32 million and VND 24 million respectively. The incentive prizes are worth 8 million VND each.

According to Vice President of the Union of Scientific and Technological Associations of Ho Chi Minh City Duong Hoa Xo, in recent years the competition has attracted people from all walks of life, including scientists from universities, scientific and technological institutes. and research centers, engineers, technicians in companies and businessmen. Many solutions and initiatives to improve technological processes and technical solutions were presented during the competition and will be widely applied by many organizations.

Mr. Duong Hoa Xo added that more and more university professors are participating in the competition. In particular, the organizer of the 26th technical innovation competition received 202 applications and 27 solutions were awarded.

On this occasion, the Union of Scientific and Technological Associations of Ho Chi Minh City also launched the third Ho Chi Minh City Innovation Award in the field of science and technology.

The first prize winner will receive 200 million VND while the second and third prize winners will receive 150 million VND and 100 million VND respectively.

The Ho Chi Minh City Innovation Award is for works mainly focusing on seven areas, including economic development, security – national defense, state management, creative communication, artistic literature, scientific technology and creative startups. The deadline for receipt of the project is March 31, 2023.
