From BBN staff: The Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing (MIDH) is continuing its work to upgrade road infrastructure across the country, with the latest improvements being made in the Orange Walk district.
MIDH announced this week that crews have been dispatched to August Pine Ridge in Orange Walk, to improve the quality of roads there for local residents.
“There are an overwhelming amount of roads and streets in our rural communities, but every resource we have will always be put to good use, serving our residents. This bit of one-time patching and leveling will allow residents and visitors to get around safely and in comfort,” MIDH said.
Earlier this month, the ministry sent crews to assist the Belize City Council with roadworks on the south side of the city, which had much needed repairs.
The ministry continues this work in parallel with its other projects such as the delivery of housing to low-income families.
