By Zoila Palma González: The Ministry of Rural Transformation, Community Development, Labor and Local Government provides drinking water in Cristo Rey, Cayo.
CEO Valentino Shal said Monday’s floods completely overwhelmed the village’s water supply system and the access road to the reservoir was also destroyed.
The ministry is also helping the water board repair broken transmission lines.
“Today, we deliver fresh, clean water to the village while helping the water utility repair broken transmission lines. Meanwhile, our ever-reliable colleagues at MIDH are tending to the damaged road. We continue to work together for the well-being of our communities,” Shal said.
