ROUND ROCK, Texas, March 5, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — Odyssey Technical Solutions, the world’s largest RF, DC and microwave repair company, celebrates its 20and anniversary with the opening of a new repair center in Netherlands to serve their growing clientele in Europe.
The new hub, which will facilitate faster turnarounds for European customers, is conveniently located in Nijmegen, popularly known as the “RF Center of Gravity”, on the Novio Tech campus next to NXP and Ampleon. It is also housed in what was historically Philips first volume production facility for solid state germanium diodes and transistors. Odyssey will support all equipment from major semiconductor tool manufacturers and OEMs in RF, DC and microwave.
New Europe the location is made possible through a partnership with Klaus Werner, Manager and Founder of pinkRF and President of the solid state RF energy section within the International Microwave Power Institute (IMPI). Explaining the motivation to establish a new facility on the European continent, President of the company, Jim Plourde noted: “Odyssey US has been doing repairs for European customers for many years, but logistically a location made sense in Europe as the company grew. Additionally, many European customers have a global presence, we can now offer a centralized approach to service and support worldwide. We are aligning our service locations with our global customers.”
Odyssey Technical Solutions is an American company launched in 2000 by friends, Jim Plourde and Eric Clou. Since that time, the business has grown further to Singapore in 2005 and now at The Netherlands. Guided by their motto, “You are not just another customer, we are not just another repair company” Odyssey has developed a reputation for reliability and delivering high quality repairs. The company has a track record of over 60,000 successful repairs, including 1,000 repairable items from over 45 OEMs. In fact, a recent US survey found that over 80% of their customers consider them their best or one of their best suppliers.
