Petzl America welcomes the new 2022 training organizations to the PTP Network

The Professional Division of Petzl welcomes seven additional training organizations within the Petzl Technical Partner Program in the American and Canadian markets. The Petzl Technical Partner (PTP) program formalizes close relationships with experts in vertical environments who demonstrate in-depth knowledge of their industry, contribute to the development of industry best practices and integrate Petzl products and solutions into their teaching curriculum. .

The PTP program was launched in the United States and Canada in early 2020 with a vision of develop a comprehensive network of training companies to which Petzl can direct companies. John Pieper, General Manager of Petzl’s Professional Division, explains: “Petzl is focused on designing and manufacturing the most innovative and highest quality personal protective equipment for working at height. We don’t have the depth of field expertise and day-to-day use of the many training companies that use our products. Petzl’s vision is to partner with the most respected training companies to support their training efforts and deepen our understanding of these industries and their use of our PPE.

The following American and Canadian training organizations have joined the network of Petzl technical partners for 2022: Academy Training, All Hands Fire Equipment and Training, Expert Safety Services, Learn to Return Training Systems, North American Training Solutions, Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service, Safety and Instruction of the tower and vector rescue.


Academy training

Santa Rosa, California

The Academy – there is no place like it in the world. They live on a 40-acre ranch in the heart of California, far from the big city lights. All hands fire equipment and training

Neptune City, New Jersey

All Hands Fire Equipment & Training is a national firefighting and rescue equipment dealer and training company that offers a wide range of educational programs. They pride themselves on their ability to respond to client needs, develop and curate customized training solutions, and develop strong relationships with every interaction. Their experienced and dedicated training staff of over 30 instructors take great pride in sharing information and educating their students and clients.


Expert security services

Bloomington, IL

Expert Safety Services is a fully insured company that offers safety training and advice. They teach classes in both a general enrollment and a private classroom, explaining and teaching safety from the perspective of the OSHA 1910 General Industry Standard. Their safety program for window cleaners has been approved by the International Window Cleaning Association (IWCA) and Expert Safety Services is an approved safety training provider. Their pressure washing safety program has been approved by Power Washers of North America (PWNA). Expert Safety Services consults and teaches this industry with the full support of the PWNA. In addition to these programs they teach, they offer individualized safety advice to businesses and building owners in the areas of job hazard analysis, work plans, safety programs, OSHA citations and inspections.


Learn to flip formation systems

Since 1986, they have offered specialized educational programs designed to provide knowledge, experience and confidence in emergency situations. Tower safety and instructions

Phoenix, AZ

Kathy Gill founded Tower Safety in 2013, having years of direct industry experience. Kathy has worked as a security manager in the wireless industry and outdoor plant installer for AT&T/Lucent. An experience that led her to believe she could start making small changes in the industry, one student at a time. Through her own time in the field and interactions with employees, she became all too familiar with harmful, even fatal, mistakes that could have been avoided by developing a safety mindset. Kathy and her team strive to create an educational institution that focuses on “why” safety is important in this dangerous cell tower industry.


Vector rescue

Torrington, Connecticut

Vector Rescue was founded in 2019 with the goal of bridging the gap between the initial training offered to rescuers and the real-world challenges faced by rescue teams. They worked to address this issue by assessing their own perceived blind spots, talking to lifeguards in their area, and researching locally available programs for lifeguards. The resulting program development was designed to build on the skills learned during initial training and help bring rescuers up to the level of their abilities. They provide complete technical rescue solutions, including initial training, ongoing team development and equipment sales.
