Srinagar, Jun 23 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said on Thursday that Srinagar is embracing modern technical tools for sustainable and integrated urban living.
J&K LG office on its official Twitter account informed that LG has inaugurated two prestigious projects, which include Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) under Srinagar Smart City initiative and Drainage System in Shalteng .
LG said the ICCC will act as a city situation room integrating civic operations and creating opportunities for data-driven decision-making.
He added that Srinagar Smart City aims to secure and increase the quality of life, sustainability and efficiency for all citizens. “The holistic approach to the operation of Srinagar Smart City will help achieve five long-term goals: smart mobility, smart economy, smart environment, smart living and smart governance.”
LG said breakthrough technology interventions bring efficiency to urban governance and strengthen the responsiveness of diverse stakeholders. “Srinagar adopts modern technical tools for sustainable and integrated urban living.”
He added that all stakeholders are working in tandem to make the city of Srinagar the best example of the smart city movement in the country. “With a wide range of smart solutions and infrastructure, we hope to improve resource efficiency and transparent citizen services.” (KNS)
